The California premiere of composer Lori Laitman and poet Dana Gioia’s popular new opera, The Three Feathers was produced by Solo Opera in Walnut Creek, featuring the San Francisco Girls Chorus took place at the Lesher Center for the Arts on September 8, 2023.

Dana Gioia’s Selected Poems Appear in Spanish: La oscuridad intacta, a selection of Dana Gioia’s poems translated by the Costa Rican poet Gustavo Solorzano-Alfarohas, has been published in Spanish by Pre-Textos (Madrid, Buenos Aires, Valencia). The book surveys Gioia’s poetic career and includes two critical essays about his work. Copies can be ordered from the publisher or on Amazon.
